Ep.3: The Joey Hart Story - Part 1
Ep3. The Joey Hart Story - Part 1
🎙 Welcome back to Conspiracyville! In this episode, we begin a deep dive into the Joey Hart case, dissecting what really happened that night and questioning the narrative that led to Joey’s incarceration.
If you’re new here, make sure to listen to the episode first—then follow along as we break down the night’s events, moment by moment, using six key surveillance videos that captured everything.
📌 Before you do anything else, go read the full trial transcript linked at the top of this post. It’s over 500 pages of courtroom testimony, and trust me—you’re going to want to tear it apart.
Video 1: The Calm Before the Storm
📽 [Watch Video 1]
Joey Hart wasn’t a regular at the Brew & Cue—in fact, he had only been there a handful of times after being introduced to it by a bartender from another bar. On November 22, 2020, he arrived with his girlfriend to play pool and sing karaoke—a completely normal night out.
In the first video, you can see Joey and his girlfriend laughing, playing pool, and enjoying the evening. There’s no hostility. No aggression.
But everything changes when Bobby, the bar owner’s brother-in-law, allegedly touches Joey’s girlfriend inappropriately. Joey doesn’t start a fight. He simply tells Bobby:
"Keep your hands to yourself."
Then, Joey and his girlfriend go back to karaoke, trying to move on. Nothing escalates.
But for some reason, about 15 minutes later, the bartender (who is also the manager) asks Joey to leave—even though she later testifies that he was completely respectful.

Video 2: The Attack Inside the Bar
📽 [Watch Video 2]
Joey is on his way out when he realizes he forgot his license at the bar, which he had turned in to play pool. So he turns around at the door to retrieve it.
While Joey is speaking with the bartender:
Bobby suddenly grabs Joey from behind.
A second man—who "sometimes" does security—also jumps Joey.
Other bar patrons join in, throwing punches.
This isn’t a bar fight—it’s a mob assault.
Within seconds, Joey is dragged toward the back of the bar, with more than 13 people attacking him. You can even see random bystanders walking up and throwing punches for no reason.

Video 3: The Fight Spills into the Alley
📽 [Watch Video 3]
The chaos bursts through the back door into the alley.
Joey is dragged out by the back of his shirt.
One of the attackers has him by the neck.
At least 13 people are on him.
At this point, the aggressor (later referred to as "the victim") is still right in the middle of it—yet at trial, they claimed he was never involved. Watch the video yourself. You’ll see that’s a lie.
After several minutes of fighting, Joey gets up and walks away—alone.
Video 3: Back Ally - Part 1
Videos 4 & 5: The Overlapping Timelines
📽 [Watch Video 4] (Back Alley View)
📽 [Watch Video 5] (Parking Lot View)
💡 Pay close attention to the timestamps at the top of these videos. They show overlapping moments from two different camera angles:
Video 4 (Back Alley View): Shows the aggressor waiting in the alley for several minutes after Joey is dragged out.
Video 5 (Parking Lot View): Shows Joey walking away, retreating to his truck.
If you watch both videos side by side, the timeline becomes crystal clear:
✅ Joey is trying to leave.
✅ The aggressor is still hanging around, waiting.
✅ After waiting several minutes, the aggressor then follows Joey.
At trial, the prosecution tried to paint this as two men meeting up for a fight—but the timestamps tell a different story. Joey was already at his vehicle before the aggressor ever moved toward him.

Video 5: Joey Walks Away
📽 [Watch Video 5]
Joey, badly beaten, is the only one leaving the scene. Skip to 15:28 in the video to find Joey walking away.
He unbuttons his shirt to check for blood and injuries.
He calls for his girlfriend to follow him.
She hesitates, still talking to the people who just jumped Joey.
Eventually, she joins him, and Joey opens the truck door for her before getting into the driver’s seat.
He’s not angry. He’s not looking for revenge. He’s just trying to go home.
Joey lights a cigarette and sits there, catching his breath—not realizing the night isn’t over.
Video 5: Parking Lot - Part 1
Video 6: The Shooting
📽 [Watch Video 6]
The aggressor gets closer.
Joey fires two warning shots.
The aggressor keeps coming.
Joey fires two more shots, hitting him.
Key facts from the evidence:
✅ The GBI medical examiner confirmed Joey was still sitting in his truck when he fired.
✅ The autopsy confirms the aggressor was shot from below, proving he was advancing.
✅ The video shows they were much closer than the prosecution claimed.
✅ The aggressor was still standing when Joey pulled out of the parking lot.
After being brutally attacked, Joey defended himself.
But instead of being treated as a victim, he was arrested and charged with murder.

What Happened Next?
🔍 The police showed up at Joey’s home in Bryant, AL the next morning.
🔍 He let them in without a warrant and answered their questions—until he chose to stop talking without a lawyer.
🔍 Instead of handling it properly, they came back with U.S. Marshals, GBI, and multiple law enforcement agencies—armed with ARs.
🔍 Joey was never given bond—even though he had zero violent history and never tried to run.
